Jerry Lee Lewis de 76 años, es uno de los mitos vivientes del Rock and Roll. Comparte éste privilegio junto a Chuck Berry, Little Richard y B.B. king entre otros. El "Killer", como fue apodado en su adolecencia, es uno de los músicos mas influyentes de los Estados Unidos y el mundo. Rock and Roll, Country, Boogie Woogie, Blues, son algunos de los estilos que durante toda su carrera configuraron a éste excepcional artista. Miembro fundador del Rock and Roll y del Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, implementó un estilo musical propio que es seguido por cientos de músicos a nivel mundial, "Jerry Lee Style", que todavía no está declarado oficialmente. Estilo que fue influenciado por varios músicos de la talla de Roy Hall y Hank Williams, entre otros.
Esta web, tiene como objetivo homenajear en vida a Jerry Lee Lewis y a otros músicos como Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, B.B. King, Pinetop Perkins, Johnnie Johnson, etcétera; quienes durante muchos años influenciaron la vida y la carrera de varios artistas, e inclusive de éste redactor.

El músico norteamericano Little Richard de 79 años, se presentó el domingo último en el Festival de Música de Beale Street en la ciudad de Memphis. La actuación de Little Richard, no estaba programada para éste show hasta hace unos días atrás. Sin embargo, con la lamentable rotura de una de las piernas de Jerry Lee Lewis se tuvo que tomar la decisión de suplantarlo. No se equivocaron, llamaron a otra leyenda del Rock and Roll y que rápidamente se ganó al público del Killer. Little Richard, volvió a los escenarios después de una opración de cadera. Pero la vuelta definitiva la marcó ayer cuando realizó un show completo depsués de haber estado alejado de los escenarios.
Si bien, el contexto en el que se presentó no es el esperado por los fans de Jerry Lee Lewis, el "Killer" se puede quedar tranquilo porque su reemplazo estuvo a la altura d elas circunstancias.

Mean Old Man, es el nuevo y último trabajo de Jerry Lee Lewis en un estudio. Antes, en el 2006, realizó su último trabajo Last Man Standing, junto a mountruos de la talla de B.B.King, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Bruce Springsteen, Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Neil young, Robbie Robertson, John Fogerty, Keith Richards, Ringo Starr, Merle Haggart, Kid Rock, Rod Stewart, Gorge Jones, Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Little Richard, Delaney Bramlett, Buddy Guy, Don Henley y kris Kristofferson. Producido por Jimmy Rip y Steve Bing. Posteriormente sacó el DVD Last Man Standing Live, en el cual participaron: Tom Jones, Solomon Burke (1940-2010), Norah Jones, Buddy Guy, Chris Isaak, Ron Wood, Merle Haggard, Ivan Neville, Kris Kristofferson, John Fogerty, Willie Nelson, Don Henley, Kid Rock, y Ken Lovelace. En la actualidad, el nuevo trabajo de Jerry Lee Lewis, Mean Old Man, es producido por Jim Keltner y Steve Bing. La productora Ejecutiva del álbum es su hija Phoebe Lewis. Con un trabajo de arte distinto al anterior, los productores de Lewis, apostaron a la fómula anterior con duetos como: Solomon Burke (tal vez su último trabajo antes de fallecer), Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, John Fogerty, Merle Haggard, Mick Jagger, Kris Kristofferson, Shelby Lynne, John Mayer, Tim Mcgraw, Willie Nelson, Keith Richards, Kid Rock, Slash, Mavis Staples, Ringo Starr, Robbie Robertson, Gillian Welch y Ronnie Wood. Especialmente para Itunes, el suiguiente Bonus Track: 11. Here Comes That Rainbow w. Shelby Lynne Muchos blogs y páginas web de todo el mundo, se ha hecho eco de éste nuevo lanzamiento de Mean Old Man, hasta la fecha 4/12/2010, todavía se reciben noticias y análisis sobre el disco. Jerry Lee lewis, demuestra a sus críticos que todavía no es hora de cerrar el telón y tiene mucho para dar. El Killer, que en septiembre acaba de cumplir 75 años, acaba de cerrar una gira de grandes proporciones en el viejo continente. En la actualidad, se habla de una autobigrafía y proyectos cinematográficos. Mas allá de los rumores, la única certeza, es que a partir del lanzamiento de Mean Old Man, Jerry Lee Lewis, mejoró paulatinamente de su enfermedad que a principios de año provocaron la suspención de varios de sus conciertos. Esperamos que el Killer continúe con ésta energía y podamos seguir admirándolo en el 2011.
